A child was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday morning in Monsey, according to Ramapo police.

The crash happened on Blauvelt Road.

A police barricade surrounded the victim at the scene as investigators worked to determine what happened.

A white Toyota and a Yeshiva Viznitz school bus were taped off as part of the investigation.

Investigators were seen inspecting the bus.

Police have not released the child's age or gender.

Family members gathered at the scene and were visibly shaken by the tragedy.
