Fire damaged a garden apartment building in Hartsdale early this morning, prompting a large emergency response.

The fire broke out around 4:10 a.m. at 7 Fieldstone Drive. Crews stretched lines to battle the flames, and the fire has since been put out.

Deputy Fire Chief Paul Liberatore says heavy clutter inside the apartment made it difficult to find the source of the fire. Flames were contained to one unit.

No injuries were reported. Officials are asking people to avoid the area.
