The skies finally cleared out after several damp and gloomy days in the Hudson Valley.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Thursday starts off very nicely with mostly sunny skies and a mild temperature trend across the region. After about 2-3 p.m., the skies will be looking darker as thick clouds move in with rain showers. Scattered showers are likely through that afternoon ride home with a few downpours potentially mixed in.
- The rain will continue to fall overnight Thursday into Friday: ending the work week on the soggy side. About 1-2 inches of rain could come down from Thursday evening into Friday night with some pockets of 2-2.5 inches.
- The showers will be tapering off early Saturday morning with a mix of sun and clouds to follow and a drier breeze.
- This latest storm system pulls away through the day on Saturday, allowing us all to enjoy a delightfully nice and warm Sunday. This will be perfect weather for celebrating all the moms out there for Mother's Day.
