A man accused of spray‑painting over a mural created by children in Kingston is now in custody, police say.
Authorities say 29‑year‑old Benjamin Lawrence turned himself in after images of the vandalism were posted online.
Police say Lawrence is the man seen on video vandalizing a mural at People’s Place on St. James Street.
He has been charged with felony criminal mischief.
Police say Lawrence is due back in court next month.
