New York state officials determined that a Poughkeepsie city judge should be removed from office for retaliating against the manager of an eye doctor's office.
The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct says Frank Mora refused to follow the office's safety protocols by wearing a mask. Mora is also accused of refusing to leave until police were called.
The manager filed a complaint against him.
Judge Mora retaliated by filing a $425,000 lawsuit against her for defamation, knowing the commission was investigating the manager’s complaint against him.
Mora has been on the bench since 2011.
Mora's attorney says he will be appealing the decision.
