SPCA Westchester is launching a new program aimed at making essential veterinary care more affordable for eligible pet owners.

The Community Care Program gives eligible Westchester pet owners who receive a form of government assistance an additional 50% discount on the organization's already reduced rates.

The discount applies to services offered at the SPCA's clinic, including spay and neuter surgeries.

Leaders say the initiative is designed to help more pet owners afford the veterinary care their animals need.
