WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Lingering showers through around 8 a.m.
  • This afternoon will be a warm and still a bit humid (but less humid than Tuesday), as we await a cold front later Thursday. Expect above-average temperatures along with a mix of sun and clouds. Thursday may have some more storms for us to content with. The cold front could fire up some strong to severe storms all across the region. Afterward, the threat of severe weather will fizzle out, the bulk of the humidity will be swept away and fair weather will move in for the Fourth of July.
  • The holiday will be fantastic! Mainly sunny skies, seasonal temperatures along with comfortable levels of humidity lead to just worry-free plans for you and your family to enjoy the nation's birthday! It is the pick of the week for any barbecues, beach/pool lounging, parades, and fireworks later on. The rest of the holiday weekend stays shower-free, but there will be a gradual increase in humidity levels.
  • By Monday, the rain threat returns, and unsettled weather will linger for days. There will be classic summer days on the way, with warm temps and muggy air as well as afternoon pop-up showers and storms.
