WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- After a beautiful holiday weekend of weather across the Hudson Valley, we're making up for it with unsettled days this week. There will be a chance of slow-moving storms, that will be packed with moisture, bringing around localized flood concerns. The air is packed with tropical moisture from the remnants of Tropical Storm Chantal (that made landfall in the South Carolina area Sunday) that has moved up this way. This will enhance the rainfall potential for any thunderstorm that moves through. This concern will grow for Tuesday as there
- Throughout the week, the rain/storm threat will be around but every day won't be considered "washout days."
- A heat advisory is in effect from 10-8 p.m. Tuesday.
- By the weekend, it is likely we'll see rain chances going down but not to zero. But at least the chances of seeing tropical downpours coming around will be fading after Tuesday.
