A volunteer from the Turtles of Western Highway rescued one Sunday morning.
The group is a division of the Hudson Valley Humane Society.
Officials are urging drivers to keep their eyes open and watch for turtles while on the road.
If a turtle has been hit, they ask that it be brought to Valley Cottage Animal Hospital.
