The owner of an unlicensed day care center in Clarkstown are facing child endangerment charges, according to authorities.
Town officials say they investigated and shut down the facility on Maple Avenue. They found 69 children, 20 adults on site and 30 unoccupied cribs in the basement.
Authorities say 35-year-old Aron Altman, of Pomona, and his 34-year-old wife, Chany, have been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
They were released on an appearance ticket and will return to Clarkstown Court at a later date.
