The Westchester County Democratic Executive Committee will not make an official endorsement in the closely contested Democratic primary for the 17th Congressional District.

Party leaders said the committee nominated Cait Conley and Beth Davidson for consideration but ultimately chose not to back a single candidate.

The committee pledged to support the winner of the June 23 Democratic primary.

Officials noted that several local Democratic committees across the district have already announced endorsements of either Conley or Davidson.

The winner of the Democratic primary will face Republican incumbent Rep. Mike Lawler in the November general election.
