Yonkers woman accused of posing as licensed therapist at Brooklyn Hospital
A Yonkers woman was indicted Monday on allegations that she used a fake physical therapy license and forged academic credentials to obtain a job at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn.
According to the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office, 36-year-old Diamond Walker was arraigned on charges including identity theft, criminal possession of a forged instrument, offering a false instrument for filing, and falsifying business records.
Prosecutors allege Walker was hired as a physical therapist at Kings County Hospital in March 2024 after claiming she was licensed to practice in New York State.
Investigators said she also claimed to hold a doctorate in physical therapy from Columbia University and a master's degree in athletic training from Long Island University.
Authorities allege Walker was not licensed to practice physical therapy in New York, never attended Columbia University, and did not graduate from Long Island University.
Prosecutors say she submitted a physical therapy license bearing another person's license number, a fake Columbia University diploma, and a forged court document connected to a name change.
Officials said the alleged fraud was uncovered during an investigation, and Walker's employment was terminated in February 2026.
Walker was released without bail following her arraignment and is scheduled to return to court on Dec. 9.
