ArtsWestchester’s ArtsAlive grants are helping fuel community‑driven creativity across the region — and now applications for next year’s funding are officially open.
The grants support a wide range of artist‑led projects, from neighborhood theater productions to hands‑on art workshops that welcome residents of all ages. Organizers say the impact reaches far beyond a single event, often inspiring new creators, new programs and new connections within each community.
Past recipients include artists who used their grants to secure studio space, purchase materials for public classes, and stage performances created and carried out by local residents. ArtsWestchester leaders say that this kind of community involvement is exactly what the program is designed to encourage — projects that bring people together and strengthen the cultural fabric of Westchester County.
Last year, the nonprofit distributed more than $2 million to artists and local groups with funding provided by the New York state government, Westchester government and the New York State Council on the Arts.
Registration for the 2026 ArtsAlive grants opened on Thursday and runs through March 3.
