The brutal heat didn't stop golfers in Westchester from teeing off for a good cause.
Former Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz hosted his charity golf event at Glen Arbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills.
Proceeds benefit the Victor Cruz Foundation, which promotes youth education in science, arts, math and engineering.
Cruz said he was grateful to see a strong turnout despite the high temperatures.
"It means a lot. I mean, for these guys to come out here, bear the temperatures, have a good time, play the game of golf, which you said is not easy, but you learn so much with the game," Cruz said. "We should have plenty of water at every hole. We might even have those cold wash rags people just douse on their heads."
Cruz hopes to make the event an annual tradition in Westchester.
