Police have made an arrest in connection with a killing at a Mount Vernon home.
Police say that around 4 p.m. on March 21, officers responded to a welfare check at 324 East 4th St.
Officials say that the officers who went into the apartment found a 33-year-old female unresponsive.
Emergency medical technicians responded to the scene and pronounced the woman dead. She was identified as Lisa Grier.
This incident has been determined to be a homicide.
Police say the suspect is in custody in another jurisdiction, pending arraignment on charges of murder in the second degree. That suspect's name was not immediately released.
Officials say there is no threat to the public.
