An altercation involving Westchester County Board of Legislators candidate Kisha Skipper and the mother of her opponent is under investigation after the confrontation was caught on camera Wednesday night in Yonkers.
The incident happened during a political roundtable at the Beczak Environmental Education Center.
Video shows Skipper exchanging words in a bathroom with Stephanie Holguin, who told News 12 she previously volunteered for Skipper’s campaign and claims she is owed roughly $2,000 for work she performed.
Skipper denies that claim.
The video later shows Donna Nolan, the mother of Skipper’s opponent, County Legislator James Nolan, entering the bathroom.
Skipper says the two women blocked the door and prevented her from leaving before she was assaulted.
"I asked them to excuse me twice and then proceeded to try and open the door to try and get out of the restroom. I was assaulted," said Skipper.
James Nolan offered a different account, saying his mother entered the bathroom to try to separate the women, where she was attacked.
Both Skipper and Donna Nolan received medical attention following the incident.
Yonkers police say the incident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
