A Yonkers street was renamed on Friday in honor of the late hip-hop legend DMX.

The corner of School and Brook Streets is now "Earl 'DMX' Simmons Way."

The late rapper grew up on School Street before going on to become one of the most influential artists in history.

DMX became the first rapper to have five consecutive albums debut at No. 1 on the billboard 200.
