The University of New Haven came together Tuesday to remember a student-athlete killed in a
wrong-way crash last week.
A celebration of life was held in honor of Ryan O'Shea.
The 21-year-old senior from Stony Point was killed in a crash on Interstate 91 on Friday. State police said the vehicle O'Shea was driving was struck head-on by a wrong-way driver in North Haven.
Those who knew the hockey player have described him as a leader on and off campus.
School officials say a plaque with O'Shea's name will be added to an in memoriam display next to the university's charger statue.
