The Saw Mill River Parkway has reopened after a fallen tree blocked the southbound lanes in Dobbs Ferry on Monday.

The tree came down before 12 p.m. just south of Lawrence Street, causing traffic backups in the area. Drivers were seen turning around and looking for alternate routes.

County police officers directed traffic while crews worked to remove the tree and clear the roadway.

Officials say the fallen tree did not hit any vehicles.
